Egyptian Sculpture Definition: Sculpture is a three-dimensional artwork that is created by artists by shaping hard materials, typically stone, by the process of by carving and chiseling. Egyptian Sculpture is designed to be viewed 'in the round' meaning to be viewed from all sides or in bas relief meaning in low relief in which figures protrude slightly from the background. The word for sculptor in Egyptian was 'sanx' meaning to make come alive.
