Valley of the
Kings

This walkway in the Valley of the Kings leads up to tomb number KV35, the tomb of Pharaoh Amenhotep II.
The Valley of the Kings was the location chosen for the tombs of
Pharaohs and powerful nobles of the New Kingdom from the 16th to
11th century BC. In recent times when a tomb has been located in
the Valley of the Kings it has already long since been robbed,
the most notable exception being the tomb of Tutankhamun (aka
King Tut or Tutankhamen), which was located by Howard Carter and
George Herbert in 1922.
